An update was made to PC-PUMP to correct several issues that occured when displaying the submergence information in comparison graphs or tables. Also, several updates were made to the equipment database to include new equipment. If you downloaded v2.70 before July 17th, please download it again.

C-FER Technologies is pleased to announce the release of PC-PUMP® v2.70. This release is available to all users who are subscribed to the 2008 Maintenance Plan. The new version incorporates several new features that increases the software's usability. A new copy down button in the rod string selection window allows for quick rod string modifications and a new autosave feature ensures that work is automatically backed up. As well, a submergence variable has been added to the operating conditions in the analysis inputs window and to the batch comparison module. Finally, an option to use units from a loaded file in place of your own units has been added to the preferences window. Installation Notes - Please Read

PC-PUMP v2.70 addresses several issues related to the Windows Vista operating system. User files containing custom equipment, wellbore geometry, sample sessions and pump tests are now located in a PC-PUMP folder in the My Documents folder. To ensure that user files and preferences are available to PC-PUMP v2.70, they are automatically imported during the installation sequence.

During the installation of PC-PUMP v2.70, older versions of the PC-PUMP software will not be uninstalled. If you wish to uninstall older versions of PC-PUMP, please locate folders containing older versions of PC-PUMP and delete those folders. PC-PUMP v2.70 is located in the PC-PUMP directory while older versions of PC-PUMP are located in the PC-Pump Version 2.6 folder in the Program Files directory. The installation of PC-PUMP v2.70 will remove any links to older versions of PC-PUMP that exist in the Windows Start Menu. Any shortcuts on the desktop should be updated to point to the new PC-PUMP software location in the program files directory.
