C-FER Technologies is pleased to announce the release of PC-PUMP^® v2.71. This release is available to all users who are subscribed to the 2008 Maintenance Plan. The new version addresses several bugs identified by users and incorporates several new features that increase the software's usability.

The upgrade includes a new Table Viewer that allows users to quickly identify equipment of interest using parameters that are not easily compared in other areas of PC-PUMP.  As well, the update includes a check to ensure that the pump coupling outer diameter fits inside the casing and a new print format for the equipment comparison table.   To increase the usability of PC-PUMP, the pump list in the selection window was increased to allow for easier pump selection.  Finally, a new option, 'Couplings Only', has been added to the contact mode list in the rod string window to help clarify the selection of the type of contact between the rod string and the tubing. Installation Notes - Please Read

PC-PUMP^® v2.71 addresses several issues related to the Windows Vista operating system. User files containing custom equipment, wellbore geometry, sample sessions and pump tests are now located in a PC-PUMP folder in the user folder under Documents and Settings. The installation of PC-PUMP^® v2.71 will remove any links to older versions of PC-PUMP^® that exist in the Windows Start Menu. Any shortcuts on the desktop should be updated to point to the new PC-PUMP^® software location in the program files directory.
