PC-PUMP® v3.2

July 2011

C-FER Technologies is pleased to announce the release of PC-PUMP® v3.2. This release is available to all users who are subscribed to the 2011 Maintenance Plan. This new version includes several new features, addresses several minor bugs identified by users, and includes an update to the vendor equipment database.

Some of the new features in PC-PUMP v3.2 include:

Improved Print Reports. Based on feedback from users, the printable reports have been updated to improve the look and clarity of the data displayed. Each report has been updated to give it a more professional appearance.

New Quick Print. To allow users to quickly print reports, a Quick Print option has been added to the majority of windows and tabs. The Quick Print option brings v3.2 more in line with the print options that were available in v2.x. The Quick Print icon is located at the bottom left side of the window, next to the help icon.

Feedback Form. PC-PUMP v3.2 now includes a feedback form that can be used to email the PC-PUMP technical support team with any questions or comments you might have on the software. The feedback form can be accessed through an icon located on the navigation bar or from the Help drop-down menu. Alternatively, users can access the feedback form through the Analysis Calculation Messages window that is display after a calculation is completed.

Batch Analysis Updates. Based on several requests from users, the batch analysis parameter list was updated to include Bottomhole Temperature and Pump Seating Depth. As well, when the batch analysis is conducted over the batch values, the value contained within the case is now added to the batch value list. The case value is circled in the batch comparison charts.

Rod String Auto-Fill Icon. In the Rod String window (located in the Equipment Configuration tab), an Auto-Fill button has been added to each row in the rod string table allowing users to select a particular rod string from the table. By clicking this button, the user can select which row to use to automatically populate the values of the input options located above the table without needing to enter them manually.

Wear Rate and Fatigue Life in Comparison Table/Charts. In the comparison table and charts, the Wear Rate and Fatigue Life parameters have been added to allow users to quickly see which case provides the lowest wear rate and highest fatigue life.
