Design and Performance Optimization of PC Pumping Systems
Progressing cavity (PC) pumping systems have emerged as an attractive form of artificial lift in a variety of applications from heavy oil to coalbed methane dewatering. Achieving reliable and economical performance requires a strong understanding of fundamental PC pumping theory, system equipment selection and operating practices.
C-FER has been involved in the area of progressing cavity pumping systems for over 20 years through numerous field studies, lab investigations and a major joint industry project that focused on PC pumping system performance in a wide variety of production applications.
Taking from this experience, C-FER offers a wide variety of courses that discuss fundamental PC pumping theory, application considerations and failure analysis. Included in most courses is hands-on training with PC-PUMP, the leading edge design and evaluation software for PC pumping systems.
