PCP System Design and Performance Optimization CourseSynopsisProgressing cavity pumping systems have emerged as a common form of artificial lift. System selection and operating practices play key roles in ensuring that a PCP system provides reliable and economical performance. To assist operators implementing this technology, this comprehensive five day course focuses on fundamentals, design and operation of PCP systems. Additional topics related to auxiliary equipment, backspin analysis and well diagnostics are also covered. This course is based on knowledge, information and experience gained through numerous field studies, lab investigations and a major joint industry project over the last 20 years. This course also includes hands-on training with PC-PUMP®, software developed by C-FER for the interactive design and evaluation of progressing cavity pumping systems.
